Carousel Pavilions get their name from the spoke and hub design that holds their round, conical roof up. This looks very much like a Tinkertoy. They were very popular in the 14th century.
I will write more about them later.
When I tell people that I like to go camping or even “glamping” in the summertime, this is what I’m talking about.
We do not sleep on the ground. I sleep on a simple, full-sized wooden bed from Ikea with a futon mattress, sheets, and a down-filled comforter.
My sleeping tent has a dark blue lining to keep out the morning light and the afternoon heat.
Sometimes I use one of these pavilions as a kitchen tent to cook meals.
